Cruisin' Gimli Beach #8 July 11/10 our 8th Annual "Cruisin' Gimli Beach" kicks off at the Matlock Recreation Center, with a pancake breakfast from 9 am - 11 am. From there it's a 25 km scenic lakefront cruise thru cottage country to Downtown Gimli and don't forget to enter our Poker Derby, it is always fun and informational. Once in Gimli, the Show and Shine on Center St. begins with live entertainment, perogie eating contest, our own version of "Car Boom" engine meltdown and an array of draws and contests. NEW LOCATION: 11th Annual Lions Club Of East St. Paul Car Show 266 Hoddinott Avenue East St. Paul Community Centre increased parking for over 600 show vehicles, majority on pavement - overflow on grass. All antique, classic, high performance, motorcyles and special interest vehicles are welcome. Vendor row and displays. Entry fee of $10.00 per vehicle includes lunch for two. The morning will commence with a terrific breakfast special available for purchase from 7:00-11:00 am at Slider's Cafe and Pizza in the East St. Paul Curling Club. Vette Summer Nites 2010 July 30 to August 2, 2010 the Corvette Club of Manitoba is hosting an "All Corvette" weekend, "Vette Summer Nites 2010". The event is open to all Corvette owners. The weekend will include a Corvette car show, a Corvette rally, a participant barbeque, a Corvette auto cross and an awards banquet. All Corvette owners are welcome, early registration is recommended to ensure you can participate. The final opportunity to register will be 6 pm, July 30, at the PartSource Store, 2550 Portage Ave. A limited quantity of event souvenir clothing will be available. Registration fees and details are available at: http://www.corvettemanitoba.com/events/ All events are governed by rules and standards as prescribed by the Canadian Council of Corvette Clubs (Quad C). This includes judging of cars, Corvette rally rules and the auto cross. Car show judging sheets, rally sheets and auto cross results will be returned to participants at the end of competition. The car show and auto cross event divides Corvettes into classes based on the year and options your car is equipped with. The rally requires only that you have a driver and navigator and drive a Corvette. Trophies will be presented to class and place winners at the awards banquet. The Corvette Club of Manitoba looks forward to hosting this event for Corvette enthusiasts.
